De Cadeau

De Cadaeu is a small online business specialised  in handmade gifts. They are specifically known for their excellent  Their main platform is instagram, hence establishing a well designed brand is paramount. The owner of the business was after a clean logo that focus on the letters D C as initials of the business, they also wanted to showcase their speciality in wood crafts.

I first designed three different concepts and asked for the client feedback. They quite liked the use of a gift box shape and DC initials in Serif fonts. I took their feedback and developed the logo. The letters DC were placed inside a gift box to show the nature of the business. I then left two little areas open on the sides of the box, to connect with the two letters. Next to the shape was the name of the business in the same font as the initials, tying the design together nicely.

Next, I experimented with different backgrounds to bring the logo to life. The winner was the timber textured background as the client liked showcasing their speciality in wood. The logo was delivered in high resolution files to the client, ready to use in any Instagram posts and any marketing materials.
